Products and product prices

Product information and prices are displayed on the page. We have tried to describe the product as accurately as possible, however, we are happy to answer additional questions. The prices of the products include value added tax of 24% or 10% (books and magazines), if you're shopping from the EU country.

The crossed-out price is the lowest price in 30 days. Otherwise, the displayed price is the lowest price during 30 days.

When ordering, you agree to the delivery conditions that apply to all products in the online store. We reserve the right to change prices and delivery costs.


Payment and payment methods


PayPal is a leading online payment provider that allows you to make secure payments using a variety of methods including: PayPal balance, a bank account, PayPal Credit and debit/credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club).

By providing information at the checkout, you accept the terms and conditions of PayPal Inc.


Paytrail Oyj is a collecting payment service provider and an authorized Payment Institution working in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Oyj will forward the payment to Lankakaappi.

Online banking

You can use all Finnish banks with either the eBanking interfaces or open banking interfaces offered by the banks. You can pay with any of the online Finnish banks: Aktia, Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, Nordea, Oma Säästöpankki, Osuuspankki, POP Bank, Säästöpankki, S-pankki and Ålandsbanken. Paytrail Oyj will appear on your statement as the payee, we will forward your payment to the online business. From the online store, you will be redirected to your own bank to make a payment securely.


You can pay online with Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Mastercard Debit and American Express cards. The online store uses international authentication services Verified by Visa, Mastercard SecureCode and American Express SafeKey.

Paytrail Oyj appears as the payee on the card statement and forwards the card payment paid by the consumer directly to the merchant. Card payments are made securely using a secure payment form, and card information is not stored in e-commerce systems.

Mobile payments

Mobile payment applications Pivo, MobilePay and Siirto enable you to pay for online purchases by online bank transfer or card payment by accepting the payment in the application. 

Pivo also accepts Siirto payments, so the payment can be accepted in any application that supports Siirto. Apple Pay is a digital wallet that works on all Apple devices allowing you to pay for purchases using saved card information.

Buy now, pay later services through Paytrail are provided by OP, Walley, and Jousto. 

When you accept the payment, please read the specific terms for each finance company. By accepting the payment, you are also accepting the terms and conditions of the finance company. Terms and conditions are provided by the finance companies and are only in Finnish.

Orders are usually mailed within 1-3 business days after placing the order. If one of the items in the order is out of stock, we will contact you. If the order has pre-ordered products, we will deliver all the products at once.
Upon delivery, you will receive an electronic receipt to your email.

The delivery time depends on the transport company and your location.

We currently ship to the following countries: Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Austria. Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.

Because of BREXIT, webstore UK orders are disabled at the momentIf you wish to place an order, please note that you need to do it by email and the order total has to be over £135 (approximately 158€) not including VAT. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Delivery charges

Our delivery costs depend on the chosen delivery method and your location. Delivery costs are automatically added to the order total during the checkout. You can see the price of delivery in the cart.

EU zone (Austria. Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden)  - 15 € incl. VAT 24% (UPS Standard, orders up to 2 kg, delivered to the nearest UPS pick-up point)

All international customers are responsible for your country's customs fees and duties.

Customs forms are filled out in accordance with Finnish and international law to accurately reflect value and contents of the package.

If customs fees and charges are refused at the time of delivery, your order will be returned and you will not receive a refund for shipment and return costs. Also if the order cannot be delivered because of your country's customs policy and therefore returned, we will not refund you the costs for shipping and returning the parcel.


Cancellation and return conditions

European Union: In the EU you have a 14-day right of return that only applies to physical goods. You must inform us about cancelling your order in writing by email (kauppa@lankakaappi.fi), and send the goods back within 14 days of informing us about the cancellation.

Other countries: You may cancel your order right after you have placed it, but we do not accept purchase cancellations after having shipped your order.

The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.

As a rule, the right of return does not apply to custom-dyed yarns, specialty yarn boxes and yarn clubs, printed products (magazines or books) and digital downloads. 
Please note that we can only accept returns of unused items with their original packaging and product tags.

You must send the goods back no later than 14 days after making the cancellation notice. 

We will issue the refund using the payment method you used in the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.

Unclaimed packages

Non-redemption is not the same as refund or cancellation. We will charge the delivery costs for unclaimed packages, if you haven't made a written order cancellation.


Problem situations

If the product is lost or damaged during transport or otherwise does not match your order, please report the error via email (kauppa@lankakaappi.fi) within 14 days at the latest to the address mentioned in the Right of cancellation and return conditions section or by calling the phone number mentioned in the contact information. If the package is clearly damaged in transit, you must immediately file a complaint with the shipping company of your chosen delivery method.


Product defects

If you receive a damaged/wrong product, please contact us at kauppa@lankakaappi.fi. We will do everything we can to correct the error as quickly as possible.
If the parcel is visibly damaged during transit, you must make a claim with the delivery company immediately.
