1. Who are you?
Lankakaappi is an independent yarn store and knit studio located in Kotka, Finland. Jana Tarhala is the creative person behind everything that happens at Lankakaappi. You can find the most exquisite yarns and knitting supplies at our online store that were carefully chosen for you and your creative needs.
2. Can I visit?
Sure! You are also welcome to visit us at the shop. We are open M0-Tu 9-16, We 9-18, Th-Fr 9-16, Sa 10-14.
3. How else can I stay in touch?
We are active on Instagram, Facebook and Ravelry.
4. How can I make a purchase?
We only list the items that are currently in stock. You can shop online or come visit us at the shop. You can also place an online order and pick it up yourself free of charge. From time to time we also organize special sale and knitting events that are announced on social media.
5. How can I pay?
We accept several payment methods including PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer. You can also pay in cash, when coming to our pic-up location at the shop.
6. How much is shipping?
For our Finnish customers we offer flat rate shipping of 6,90€ and free shipping of orders over 80€. Shipping to EU countries is 12 € and to the rest of the world – 17 €. Please note that max weight per order is 2 kgs.
7. How do you ship?
We use Posti (Finnish Post) services.
8. Where is my parcel?
On rare occasions parcels may be delayed. In general, they are being held at customs. This has at times resulted in up to a two week delay in deliveries. We package carefully, so the yarn won’t be damaged by being opened and inspected.
9. What is your returns policy?
You get 14 calendar days to return any items you’re not quite sure about. This two week returns period starts from the day you receive your order. All yarn and other items have to be in original packaging. Remember to get in touch before returning. You can do this by filling out the form on our contact page or sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Re-pack your item(s) in the original packaging, or in a secure, waterproof package with labels and tags still attached.
- Please send all returns to:
- Return your package via the Post Office, remembering to get proof of postage. Please don’t post your package through the post box without getting proof of postage. Keep it safe in case you need to use this as evidence of your return.
10. Faulty goods.
Is there a problem with your order? Get in touch! You can do this by filling out the form on our contact page or sending an email to email@example.com, and a member of our team will look into it. Please don’t use any faulty items after finding the fault, or we may not be able to provide a refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.
